Take-off

As I’ve mentioned before, I truly respect and admire Canadian Geese. They mate for life and seem totally devoted to each other.

Like every year, I have a pair of geese that stay on the pond. Where their nest is, I don’t know, but I believe it is on a nearby marshy area where they can build up their nest atop the water.

In their comings and goings to and from the pond, their arrival and departure is not a surprise, honking loudly as they make their landing on the water and exit from dry land. Therefore, being in the yard these days, I have a pretty good idea when they will leave for other lands.

Yesterday, I was able to capture the pair’s take-off, not always easy for a novice photographer…
