The baby bluebirds, which went from,
eggs and tangle of beaks and feathers
have grown up and left the nest. You can hear the fledgings from the interior of trees squawking away, demanding to be fed. Mom and dad are busy perching and searching for favorite foods, and I still put out live mealworms — a little help never hurt anyone!
The other day, I put some mealworms on a limestone cap off the back patio and waited. Sure enough, dad came to pick-up…and serve.

Yum, keep them coming!
Soon, the fledgings will be feeding themselves and hopefully the parents will put up another brood!
